Acidic water treatment means raising the pH of water that is corroding your plumbing. Soda ash injection for harder cases

Where the water is strongly acidic, or where a calcite bed cannot raise the pH far enough, a chemical feed pump injects a soda ash solution into the line ahead of a mixing or retention tank. It corrects further, it can be dialed in precisely, and it does not add hardness the way calcite does. In exchange it needs power, a solution tank, mixing up a batch periodically, and regular checks that the pump is actually pumping, since a feed pump that has lost prime looks exactly like one that is working. It also adds sodium to the water, which is worth knowing about. Why it goes first in the treatment train
